A single battalion of Union cavalry advances on Arlington, which is occupied by a Confederate infantry regiment.

Union cavalry advances south down the Warren Road and past the Methodist Church to Arlington. 

Confederate infantry in the northeast section of Arlington open fire on the advancing cavalry.
